"Whoever said you can't buy happiness......forgot about puppies!"

BREED GROUP: Toys and Tinies

CHARACTERISTICS:
SIZE:
Small, perfect for every lifestyle and lap size. Hypoallergenic and Non-shedding

GROOMING REQUIREMENTS:  Best if maintained every 4-6 weeks. Keep in mind your Shorkie can return to us for their normal
grooming schedules. Especially nice for them to come back and visit their parents. We love for you to keep in touch with us!
EXERCISE REQUIREMENTS:   Throw the Ball! Walk? Treadmill? Go ahead...dust it off! :0)

GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS:   Excellent! Amazing! Fun to watch at play!

WATCHDOG ABILITY: Fantastic alert dogs, allowing to let you know someone is around. Better then your
monthly paid home security system!

WEIGHT:  3-10 pounds. The size of the Shorkie can vary since they are a mix breed. We cannot guarantee
sizes. Most of our babies are under 8 lbs fully grown. You will be able to view the parents and get a great idea
of the puppies size when he or she fully is matured. Our Shiht zu moms are under 6 pounds, very small.

HEIGHT:   4-9 inches.

COLORS:   Solids & Parties

OVERVIEW:  The Shorkie is sweet and playful. They also have plenty of spunk and are always ready to lay and cuddle with you. She is not
afraid of strangers and loves to meet other animals to play with. Out in Arizona, it's a more ideal situation to keep your Shorkie in a
puppy coat versus the full coat, this makes them feel more comfortable during our hot season. Growing your Shorkie into a full coat length
is strictly a personal preference and of course, is absolutely gorgeous, however, this does require every other day brushing to keep her de-
matted.

COAT: A variety of colors, including the Yorkie black/tan, red, beige, white mixed in with the coats, and many other variety of  Parti
Colors.
Sometimes they favor the yorkie appearance, other times the shihtzu appearance!

CHARACTER:   The Shorkie is an independent breed that is intelligent, lovable, affectionate, socialble, trainable and always cheerful. It
seldom barks and is for the most part, very laid back. It is very adaptable to many lifestyles.

TEMPERAMENT:   This dog always gets along with other household pets and children. It is gentle and always in a happy mood with the
tail wagging constantly as a reminder of how happy and loved they are.
CARE:   Grooming is required to prevent tangles. The coat must be combed and brushed everyday if it is in full coat. Having the puppy
cut again, is preferred and very easy for all involved with little maintenance involved.

TRAINING:   This breed is very sweet and gentle and very willing to please. As with any training process to include potty training your
puppy, consistency is essential in the training process. They are very trainable and our puppy parents are amazed! We work with them to
use our doggie door. By the time our puppies leave our home to yours, they use our doggie door to perfection. It's an ideal situation if you
install a doggie door prior to bringing your puppy home. Gives him instant access and freedom to go outdoors and enjoy the weather.

ACTIVITY:   Shorkies are happy with short walks or long walks. They thrive better just a yorkie does with another companion around. It's
ideal for your shorkie to have a companion, especially if your household is at work all day. This helps alleviate the guilt feelings associated
with leaving your little guy at home. It also makes for a lot of entertainment for you and your family to watch the two play and take care
of each other.

WE DESIRE IS TO MAKE OUR SHORKIE PUPPIES NEW HOME, THEIR FOREVER HOME!

Please understand why we ask so many questions and really want to get to know you as should get to know us. I pride myself in being the
expert in matching puppies and people and it shows from the incredible references we have. By getting to know you and your family, the
way your household is run, your lifestyle, etc., I am better equipped to place the right puppy with you and your family. It is my job to get
to know each puppy and their personality. When a client asks me that he or she wants a puppy whose disposition is quiet and calm, I can
assure them just which puppy in the litter has those qualities. Getting to know our puppies on every level makes your decision process a
little more easier. A puppy isn't picked just for his or her physical appearance, many factors go into your decision process. We always
encourage you to stay as long as you'd like and visit us as well as our puppies so that you can make a very good decision for you and/or
your family members! After all, your puppy will be with you for a very long time!

FIRST DAY HOME
When your new shorkie puppy  arrives home, it's very exciting and special. Every family member has been waiting this this
very exciting moment.  They are ready to spend hours with the puppy. Each family member is looking for their position
with their new puppy and looking for their new responsibilities. Remember kids, there is feeding time, bathing time and
poop scoop time!

From the time your new Shorkie gets home, it;s very exciting for the human family , but to our new little fur puppy, it can
be exhausting, and scary.  Remember this is a new home, people and surroundings, for you new puppy.  Your new shorkie
baby will need lots of love, patience, and kindness, but he also needs clear rules and expectations from day one. Your new
baby will also need his very own place that is a safe environment all around him.  I recommend an exercise pen, or playpen.

Some basic rules for the kids should include:

1. Pick up your toys...or they may get chewed up.
2. Don’t wake a sleeping puppy, she needs her rest, that's when they do most of their growing.
3. Don’t interrupt a puppy who is eating. You might get bit.
4. Always sit when holding your puppy.  Puppies may break bones when dropped.
5. Don’t hit a puppy. It’s an adult’s job to discipline. I train with a flyswatter, ask me?
6. Your puppy is not a toy, so take good care of her AND....keep all MAGNETS far away from your puppy, or else children....
this is what happens.......
